CONCERT PRODUCER / PROGRAMMER

In popular music, mainly in the so-called ''black music'', the term first applies to the rythm, a term used to refer to the beat and the beautification of rhythm sections.
The groove, for musicians, defines an undefinable "state" of the music, which can mean a time "of magic", of "grace", when it "takes off" rhythmically, and can be closer to swing in jazz, duende in flamenco or tarab in Arabic music ... each style of music has its own vocabulary to describe this state that no one can clearly define, but many artists (and lovers) can feel.
In 1992 when Loïc Ysnel founded Groove! Production very few people knew the term "groove" but Loic had already felt it several times a few years earlier when Loïc Ysnel had initiated the project "Café Music Le Bilbo" in Elancourt, the first concert hall of western contemporary parisian music. He will take in charge programming and developing for 12 years and will be the instigator of the "festival musique au pluriel" for 7 years throughout St Quentin en Yvelines.
Groove! Production has now been programming artists for 20 years in France, overseas territories, Europe and Africa. Due to its natural "colored" production, Groove! moved rapidly towards the black American, funk, soul, jazz, blues, African, Caribbean and Jamaican music but is also active in different styles of music because Groove! Production stands no limit.
Groove! Production produced some festivals like "Les voix du Gaou" from 1994 to 2007, The Tabarka Jazz in Tunisia during 14 years and The Dunhil Jazz Festival in Abidjan.
